Question: Those drives are wet sump with dry sump/swept back lowers. How is that done? I was under the impression those lowers don't just bolt on.

I have no idea, just happen to see them in the classifieds and thought I would pass the information on.

The new lowers can bolt right up...they remove the "dry-sump" pump out of the nose cone and any plumbing that was in there and can be used
for wet sumps....all other internal gears are the same....

Really, thanks for the info. For some reason I thought the rotation of the drives on a wet sump was achieved via the top portion, while on the dry sump via the lowers.......or the other way around!

I think the dry sumps hold around 1 1/2 gallons in the lower unit and then pumped through the upper gears...
The wet sumps hold around 4+ gallons in the whole drive...
