What do you exactly mean by this? Do you mean they cost 5-8 K in maintenance? I typically put lots of hours on my engines. At least 100 hours per season.

Another expectation was that the new 4 strokes would require less maintenance than the 300 XS.

Hence my post, I really want to check if my expectations are correct.

Much more maintenance on 400r, for the weight.... I would rather have 3, 300 XS. If one quits, you don't.

Hi!

I have 425 hrs on my 350 Sci without one single issue. 4,75 MPG at 4,000 rpms.

The new 400R use less fuel on 4,000 rpms and has a better lowers. I have ordered one for 2017 delivery.

Cheers Toffen

Hey Skate, how are the gear cases holding up on the 400's? I have killed my fair share of cases on my Opti's.

I have 23 hours on my 400R's and I love them. Pull like a freight train and great on fuel (I have a cat). Turn the key an GO!

How would the maintenance and fuel consumption of a 400 pair compare to that of a single 1350?

800 hp vs 1350 hp , that say's it all.

Each motor 400 hp vs 1350 hp so one would think the motor with over 3 x as much power would need more of everything
