Default Bilge blower hose

My bilge blower hose needs replaced. I went to West Marine a week ago and IMO their blower hose is crap, very thin and looks like I would be lucky to get a couple of seasons out of it.

Went on line and found this. The description sounds good and much better then West Marine. Has anyone here used this or know anything about it?

Thanks,

Padraig

The link wouldn't work for me. If you are talking about the Trident Polyduct blue hose, I used it on my old boat and it is MUCH better than the crap they put in at most factories. I bought it in bulk (50') from below. I used about half. Pretty expensive by the foot.

Yep, the trident blue. Looks like $5.99 a foot from Defender. I only need about 4.5 ft. Glad to hear it is quality stuff.

Phangle, Home Depot stuff looked as bad as West Marine.

We use the Trident stuff and their wet water exhaust hose as well. Its pricey but the quality has always been very good.

Man, you are lucky if you only need 5 ft. My old Checkmate took about 20-25 ft. to do both blowers. I am pretty sure that I have enough left to do the new boat (sure hope mine isn't 4") this winter with some left over. If there is some left over and you can use 3", you are welcome to it, if you aren't in a big rush (talking Nov. or early Dec. when it cools off here).

I will say that the Trident blue is pretty tough. I accidentally stepped on a piece after install and it just popped back into shape. Sweet!!

I work for a boat manufacturer and we use 3" and 4" HD Vinyl Blower Hose - Series 420 from Marine Products International. Its black.

I'm not sure how it compares to the Trident product but it works well for us.
