Question Small F/N/R trans......

Anyone know of something like this but small......i'm actually looking for something to maybe put behind a sea-doo motor or likes of one.....any ideas folks?

Something along the lines of the Velvet drive trans but way smaller and lighter.....maybe able to handle like 75-100hp???

Wally, Hurth has a couple of compact units that they use on sail boats - oh crap I might get banned for using that term here. If I remember correctly Volvo used to have one that used a cone clutch.

Could a snowmobile that has reverse be utilized? I know I have seen a few trail sleds that have this.

Marc, is there anyplace i can see some pics? Specs? etc???

Sydways, That was my first thought being that i was into sledding a while back too! Only question i have is how exactly they work and how big are they? I know they have add on kits for some sleds.....i was actually looking into getting one for my MachZ back in 97 but i sold it and nothing ever panned out from it. You have any idea what they run cost wise or how big they are??

What's it going to be used for?
A cluch dog, similar to an OB lower, would probably be the simplest, smallest unit. An old outboard with a little machining, and you could make your own.

I never had a sled with Reverse. I know there are a lot of sled-heads on this board. Maybe someone else will chime in. Look up some of the past sled threads for names.
