He was wearing a big azz lifejacket. I wonder if that helped cushion the blow into the dash and etc.

Definitely something we don't think about with lifejackets.

I wonder if a Tex Vest armor shield / suit, racers in snowmobiles / dirtbikes / atv's etc wear would be helpful ?

I agree it'd be awesome if you could post the video after the event. I'd totally watch it again on a crap February weekend.

Who was the guy in the black boat that wrecked ? he was out of shape the whole run even from the start. I seen it on the livefeed and rewind to record a vid from cell phone.

What boat was that and I take it was a single engine app ---- any info about that as well. They said he went to hospital and alive with movement. Hope he ends up all right. Poor guy stayed in it way to long even Teague called it just before it happened.

I do feel very bad for him and his boat inwhich 90 % sunk. Seems like the announcers did not even know his name until an hour or 2 later. Again really hope he is alright. Can always replace the boat. Good luck to him.

They knew who it was but not releasing a name until family was notified. Just in case

He owns a marine service jeepers that sounds filmiliar. Just felt bad for , you know an average joe trying his hardest to make something of a day and name to accomplish his passion.
