Sure it takes HP but there are other boats out there with big HP not getting close to those speeds. In speaking with Jim they have spent countless hours setting up the boat to run those speeds.
You cannot accomplish that without a lot of knowledge, patience and $$$. Congratulations to them for representing Skater Nation!!!!!

I know those motors have to be making north of 2,000hp (hell, my little 468 w/ 12-71 blower in my hydro is making around 1,500hp), they've got a full canopy boat with a bustle/rudder/ASDs (all aerodynamically and hydrodynamically superior to a standard quarter-canopied open-cockpit boat) and they still didn't go as fast as Garth and Jim yesterday. What Garth and Jim did yesterday is really awesome!

Parvey went 159!?!? Are you ****ing kidding me?? God i wish i would have stayed today instead of coming home this morning. How the HELL does he get that giant thing running those numbers??? Congrats to him!
