Default No Power to Captains Choice Rocker Switch

Hello, I have a 2000 Baja Boss With a 454 Mag Mpi I just purchased this boat last week and finally got to run it for awhile today. I noticed that the Corsa Silent Choice Exhaust is in the closed position and there is no power to the rocker switch. I tried to move the arm where the solenoid is and they are solid in place. I checked the fuse panel and all were ok. Any idea how to get power back to the rocker switch so they will work? Thanks

Any chance the switch has been moved to an accessory switch or hidden toggle switch ?

The boat appears to be bone stock in every way, There is 1 rocker switch that does not light up, I am assuming that one operates the Corsa System. I checked all fuses and looked at wireing but didn't find anything unusual. I am thinking about by passing the system and running open. Is there a easy way to open them? Thanks

I wonder if the switch burned out, Check the switch for power 1st then try bypassing the switch by taking the battery power wire off the back of the switch and connecting it directly to the hot wire going to the cutout solenoids. Also check your grounds. DO NOT leave the solenoids permanently open and energized, THEY WILL KILL YOUR BATTERY, ( I know from a previous boat)

Any chance there is a bigger problem with the silent choice and the previous owner has done a quick disconnect by cutting a wire somewhere just to conceal the real problem? Maybe give him a polite call and ask if he's ever had any problems with the silent choice?

Don't want to sound negative and I hope it's not the case but just saying.......

I spoke to the previous owner of the Baja and he said that the Captains Choice is "Automatic" lol... He said that once you hit a certain rpm that the exhaust comes on automatically. I have owned over a dozen bajas and i know this is not true. I think it would be a good idea for a manufacturer to try this concept though. I will replace the switch and see what happens. Thanks again for the replys.

You can put rpm switches in them. It gets around the "cannot be switchable from the helm" part of a lot of the noise laws.
