If I ran Donzi

OK, so I'm sitting here thinking about what I would want to build if I had the budget (my latest and best attempt- getrentcredit.com). So, while I'm impressed with the huge-budget hardware that's out there, I'd rather have something requiring less of
a "commitment" both financially and effort-wise. Here's what I came up with:

I think if Donzi wants a home-run, they should introduce a 35' version ZRC. Lower the deck, enlist a great bottom guy, design it for outboard power. Wrap-around windshield, pod style sit-down seating to port, opposite small cabin entrance. cover girl cabin with enclosed head to center (wife's headroom). Maybe a slightly center section raised deck,. 4 across rear seat w/ power fold-up foot rest for the rear passengers, .and a pair of 400's. I'll bet it would easily run 100mph.

Fast
Warrantied
Cool.
Efficient
Easy to move
Easy to handle
Low Maintenance

Probably a little small and a little slow for some of the major PRs, but the reputation of the ZRC is cast in stone. Why not build a smaller, more modern version, reintroduce the ZRC line and sell some boats. There will always be the heavy hitters in this glorious hobby and there is ample hardware for them. There will always be more big and above average hitters who want the latest and coolest. which is what this boat would be. . . .

2 400's will get it to 100? I want that bottom guys name.

And if they did all this are you going to drop half a million or more to buy one?

I think 2 400's would easily get the 35 to 100, no problem using the exact hull design that's on the 38 but shorter and lighter. Easy as pie.

I don't think a pair of 400's would get a 35 there either. 90 maybe if the bottom is really efficient and the boat is light but not 100.

What did a 35 ZR run with 525's? An ad for a new twin 8.2 HO boat notes 81 with 830 HP.

2017 Donzi 35 ZR Open, Twin Mercury 8.2 (430hp - 81 mph on radar), Bravo 1X, battery charger, compass, fender holder, underwater lights, powdercoat package.. Located in Osage Beach Missouri.

According to the Bam speed calculator, it will take trips to get close. Horsepower to weight.
