Jeff thanks for the info, I was pretty surprised that there were so many offshores in Quebec an on average they have many more hours then boats in Ontario.
Do you have a recommendation of a certified Merc dealer that would complete a smartcraft reading and print out and maybe a general opinion on the mechanicals?
I struggled to find one during this last purchase especially one that would do it on Saturday. If you know Id also like some recomendations on good ramps there, the one I was brought to was deadly.
Thanks again

Many good dealer around.. Wich boat are you talking about? The baja 34 or the fountain 27? Depending on the city the boat is in i can refer you different dealer...
Close to montreal i would suggest yvon from marine extreme. Not only he sell performance boats but also many high end performance boats!

The boat I am looking at is the 2004 27' Fountain listed on Auto Trader for $59,900 by Marine Daniel Masson. The person I have talked to is Paul Goineau and now he doesnt get back to me.

wow! big names involved here!
daniel masson has been around for a couple years now. nice looking clean place, i know very little about the guy, but have not heard any bad comments on him, never. Paul Goineau... he used to be owner/leading of one of the big / biggest marina close to lake champlain and he kinda sold before many marinas went down in 2008-2011 time frame. well know guy, I'm surprised he is still involved, i would have thought he was retired!
he is either very busy, or, calling back when he is on duty only... Of course i can not garanty the boat because i know them, but they are sure not those fly by night boat seller ! do your du diligence, but you should be in good hands!
