It's about whoever wants to spend that kind of money, and has balls of steel, nothing more. I believe Mr. Szolnack (Flight Club) could go to Skater and have Pete build him a 60' - 70' boat, add a third turbine, hell, maybe even a 4th....and go of 300mph if he wanted to do it.
That's not design, thats money talking. its simply buying shear HP and putting it inside a huge piece of plastic with enough mass to "hopefully" stay in the water (at speed) while space-shuttle horsepower shoves it across the water. Thats not design, skill or anything.
A real design test would be for Mystic to build a 36', put some piston power in it, and line it up with Flight Club and see who makes it thru the traps faster and in one piece. That's how you brag about design and equipment.
