Yes it's a bit confusing. It appears this class has experienced some changes in recent years. Those pictures are a few years old. I'm a new fan of SBI and trying to figure it out myself. These spec classes sure make some great racing!

Super Vee, SuperVee Extreme, and Super Boat have all made simalar changes to the class rules in the last few yrs. They have all gone to a carb spec motor.

Certainly looks like and ALL Business purpose built boat, I'm sure it will be competitive based on the parties involved.

Whats w/ the engine builder anonymity? Why wouldn't one want the free press associated w/ a story like this?

Agree on the racing parity being excellent. I also am mystified on not using the free advertising for the engine builder.

Not showing confidence in your product is concerning. :(

I would say OL has a LOT of confidence in their product and what they can do.

They only own the Kilo record and look at SMB in the 29 svl class.

The engine builder not OL...

I always like the factory class boats that all had the same motors. They were in the single F-1 small Vee,Twin F-2 Vee, Twin F-3 cats. It was great for tec and for resale value. Yes it was a single source supplier that some liked and others didn't but at the end of the day it was equal motors in all classes that were interchangeable. Why wouldn't the SV class take the same stance and run the Super cat motors wit now more builders allowed. Man that would make life so much easier to follow as a fan IMO

Factory classes were great!! Why it stoped ?? Outerlimits has made great strides in the custom boat market and has the kilo record!! But anything other than huge wins in key west and they end up with egg on there face... after all they are chasing a couple of ten year old fountains that have been winning everything for a long time. Beautiful boat!! But can it win??
