Talk about a small cockpit though.

To each his own, the Nordic is miles from a offshore boat but certainly not a cruiser so if it takes some air under the hull to smoothen out I'm all for it, bruh

Lot of value in powerquest i think.
I've never owned one but looked one over for a pre purchase and sea trialed it. Nice boats for the $

The measuring tape got some abuse on this naming convention....not as bad as the 27, but still not a real 29.

They are nice boats.

Aside from one model they call the " silencer" the are pretty slow per HP and dont take HP well.

If a lot of nice fiberglass for the money is important they are worth a look - if keeping up with and or beating your buddies is the goal - prob not the boat for you.

I have always thought the 25 Powerplay was a unique ride. My old man almost bought one years ago. Only problem is i think finding one without the outboard.

You would have an extra 7-17K for interior upgrades on this one, regarding budget.

Can't go wrong with Velocity 280.

Wow, thanks for all the responses everyone. I'm very impressed with this forum and how willing to help everyone is. Once I get my boat, I hope to meet some of you guys in person. Anyway, I really don't care for the looks of the Velocity and Powerquest type boats. I really like the 28 Donzi ZXO, Nordic Rage/Heat, and the Sunsation 288 MCOBs. I think the Donzi ZXO is my #1 choice right now, but a lot of them come with twin 350's versus the single 496 or 502. Would the twin 350's on a 2001+ Donzi be closed cooling like the 496 HO?
