Seems like a few have done it. This one is a member's here on oso. Forget his name right now. But if you do it on the older ones it effects the stringers from what I've read so look into it before plugging in the sawzall.

I know that boat, I raced that boat more than 8 years ago in the C&D canal as we headed north coming up on the Chesapeake Inn, in my late father's 34' Phantom. He beat me not by alot, then my father said, "give me wheel", after the no wake zone wwe raced again, same result, excpet this time it may was decisive, and we lost again, I told my father that 525 boat was too much (he had 502/415s) out went the 502 cuin, in the went 540's. That is a nice boat, was fast, looked and sounded great, thanks for the video. That boat looked perfect at 85+ mph, that was an upper 80's boat, maybe faster, which I thought was tremendous.

Nice guy, nice boat...great combo with the Arneson and 525's. I like the 38' Hustler, my opinion based on an observer, not as an ownerwith seat time.

That 525/Arneson combo in a 388 is possibly the most reliable 90+MPH 38ft boat out there!!

Where is this boat right now?

Didnt they pull the arnesons off the mid 80s 32 Hustler "Black Cloud" to put on the 388?

Yes. They took the drives off one boat and put onto the 388. They ran that boat like 142 when the transmission blew during the run

Why thought the boat was on rails at whatever speed you claim it will do?
