“Gibby”, Jay Pilini’s in-house sharp-eyed, blue winged, shop manager closely inspects Jay’s work. Gibby’s strict adherence to build-codes finally gave his thumbs-up (or claw-up) on the beautiful skin coat application, the layup process was allowed to continue

But on a more serious note, “the kevlar laminate is being laid up and the carbon laminate will be applied later, making this laminate schedule one of the strongest and lightest for cats of this size”, Jay said.

Beautiful Gibby!

Jay does the VERY BEST. If he doesn't, "Gibby's claws will go right into Jay's shoulder and neck.

"All hands on deck" , literally!

Jay and crew are working hard to add the final touches to his 34 cat deck plug. That's a happy crew I must say!

The hull strakes and tunnel rail have been loaded with strips of core and bonding paste. This shall make the hull strong and void-free

Jay Pilini has just released these pics of his latest 34 XCS cat build. Utilizing 100% composite materials and powered by the latest 4 stroke racing outboards or I/O power from Mercury Racing shall satisfy even the most discerning speedboat enthusiast. The marks penciled in delineates where the hull sides will be cut for the lower profile outboard hull version. The first 34 cat is also said to be scheduled to receive Stephen Miles Design's graphics application.

Jay Pilini has been very busy. Pictured below is the first hull out of paint, which will be blocked soon. Hull #2 is in paint currently. Hull #3 and #4 are in assembly. Hull #5 is in the molds getting laid-up.

On top of the cat builds, Jay also has 5 CC boats currently in various stages of assembly. Talk about busy, Jay is definitely enjoying his busy schedule.
