They have a 370 ss sitting on a trailer at shipyard marine in green bay wi. It doesn't look like it would be that bad to trailer....but That's a pic. Ive been watching it for a while, they have had it listed for i would say over a year .

I wonder what happened to the 400ss that was for sale last year with afr headed whippled blue motors. We were in love with that boat!

Went to Shogrens yesterday, Scott gave me lots of good info and spent a good amount of time showing us some boats, I really appreciated that.
Crawled thru 2 38EC`s, 48EC, 47 Fountain.

The cuddy of the 47 is much larger than it seems in pictures, I really liked that boat. 4 bolster set up, red accents, huge sunpad and cockpit etcetc it was a beautiful boat. Way out my price range. Dream boat with some stock power.

The 38EC is our choice. More room then I thought, love being able to stand up straight, amenities, generator, ****ter, separate bedroom, more performance oriented hull , full hydraulic steering, real trim tabs, performance dash and gauges, doesnt seem too big tow... Really liked it.
With a pair of 496 HO`s should be very reliable unit and still hit 60mph no problem.

And the Quest is over.

Now what will be entertain us the rest of the winter.

As far as the boat that sunk. I hooked onto it and towed it towards the Pass trying to get it into some shallow water where the owner could decide what he wanted to do with it.

On the way of dragging the boat in my cheap stamped copper transmission cooler that came on my 14 month old Yanmar went out and filled the transmission full of Salt water.

Next day I Did my monthly trek up to St Petersburg and bought a new $4000 transmission and a new replacement tranny cooler that was made out of a nice heavy cast bronze that they conveniently updated.

So I was rewarded for my good deed a negative in the checkbook of about 4500 in parts and 3 days of labor and running around topped by losing 18 grand in Spring Break business.

So much for Karma.

I think the boat was a brand new 50 Hustler or Outerlimits with triple 370 Yanmars and Arnesons. Saw it at the marina the next day it was not pretty.

We love ours Cruise @ 41-43 mph tops out so far at 54 still prop testing.

Beam , weight and speed with what power ? Interior pics?

11'8'' 45' 22,500lbs 640hp/690tq probably down 30-40 hp over dyno headers planning on the KE long tube manifolds this spring, BIII 2:1 w/labbed 28's,
4000rpm 41-43 mph this is cruise speed, average 25-27 gallons per hour (combined), better than the 502 mpi intakes that were on it last season by 3-5 gph.
5050 rpm 53-54 mph.

The boat is happiest at cruising at 40+ mph, any slower and it feels kind of "heavy" night and day difference between 35 and 40 mph. Its a tank in the rough waters around here, BI sound gets very snotty regularly and she just cleaves thru the waves with out a complaint.

I don't have any really good pics of the interior....I've spent a lot of time getting the mechanical side done, got tons of before and after pics of the bilge though ;) , I'll check with the better half to see what she has for interior pics.

LOL, I was just going to mention that. When I replace my current cruiser that is what I'm going to replace it with.

As others have said, it's nice to have a boat at a marina. Just show up, AC is on, fridge/cooler full, cupboards stocked, liquor cabinet stocked. Unplug shore power fire genny and go. Get back to the slip cover it up and head home in the Caddy. No trailering or putting the boat away.
