^^^Where do I sign up for that?

Dan, do you have the ability to add a cruiser and keep your Cig if you sat out a season? I know the season is probably too short up here to justify two boats. Also, the only downside of the SS is the V-berth. I love the boats, but it's setup as more of a day boat that you have to convert into an overnighter.

I'm probably headed down your path in a few years. I would like to have a medium sized sport fisher with diesels and comfortable accommodations for 4 ppl.

frickstyle, you are correct about the SS V berth, I felt the same way you do before I checked them out.
The bed is tucked away in the floor & takes all of 5min to set up. You sleep maybe 6 - 7 hrs in the v berth and the rest of the day the v berth is a catch all or used for nothing. Before staying out I was unsure about this "day boat" but the half dozen times we used it last summer it was great, and the full size frig/freezer, not sure how I did without it. The 400SS cabin has a lot of room without that v berth and is a real nice weekend boat.

It's going to be a Pretty Sad Day when the fastest classic Cigarette on OSO is Full Forces 35 at break neck speeds of 72mph.

But only for a week before he has lifter problems and than we have to tolerate a Whole nother season of him rebuilding his motors.:evilb:

Only boat sexier than a Classic offshore is a Rybovich or a Custom Carolina Sportfisherman.

Paul Mann builds a Hell of a boat and is one Hell of a guy.

I like the easily trailerable 10 foot beam. And Quadruple 440 yanmars on surface drives gets my approval.

I think you have a Winner.:evilb:

Merry Christmas.

If I bought one does that I mean i will win the Ocean City, MD White Marlin Open and the South Jersey Shark Tournament out of Cape May, NJ? That is the ulitmate question, and of course how will I pay for the boat. That is one good looking sport fishing boat.

ps... I would love to own a 60' +/- ft. Sport Fishing Boat, this is the one that caught my attention years ago, due to speed and ammenities. 90' luxury, 48 mph....American Custom Yachts "C'EST LA VIE"

I realize topic is a 37ss/towability, I like the Formula 37 ss, back to the topic..

That Hustler reminds of a incident I witnessed about 14 years ago.

Coming home from a long day of parasailing riding about a mile offshore on the Gulf, watching a beautiful sunset.

Come up on this 50 offshore boat with 2 Portly couples sitting on the aft sun pad watching the sunset also.

Now normally I would not bother anyone during such a serene moment as a Sunset.

But the bow was looking awfully high , and between the waves washing up through the 10 partially submerged Clamshell vents that lined the back of the transom area of the deck, and both bilge pumps running full blast I suggested that they might be sinking.

Now this this is all going on just as the sun is doing its last minute of setting.

And the 2 gentlemen on the boat reply as casually as any possible former Fountain owner would

"Its not sinking , it just looks like we are "

Well the sun barely set , and at that moment that boat stood up on its transom and rolled over as the flotation provided by the area of the engine compartment was overtaken by the weight of 6000 pounds of diesels and Arnesons and 2 Portly couples.

It was an Epic Sunset.
