Transom bracket measurement
Hi!
I have sold my Verado 350 sci and ordered a 400R. Since the 400R need to be run higher I may have to reconfigure my jackplate.
Since my engine is all gone I wonder if anyone of you could be so kind to measure the distance from the upper engine bracket hole to underside of the steering sylinder. This will make it possible for me to calculate propshaft height 😀
Thanks!
Cheers Toffen

Hi!
Thank you very much!
Now its to find the correct height for the engine boat combo. The sportmaster should be even - 1 3/4 above the bottom to work the best. The question is to find the balance between best cruise speed and wot. I use a Stainless Marine Gorilla jackplate, so I will think hard to find out where to start. The jackplate has 5 inches travel, and I prefer not to run it at the top at wot.
Merry Christmas!
