I laughed so hard I almost passed out from lack of oxygen. Takes me back to when I was redoing everything on my boat but on a less expensive scale. Gino I thought I had problems but after your story I feel much better.

I own a commercial generator business. I thought I had seen some crazy situations, but yours tops the charts. Oh yeah and Generators typically run good until you need them.

On my iPad it appears in that terrible 'first post' layout in a narrow column down the left hand side so save your A4 paper and print it on a roll of toilet paper!

One of the funniest little stories I've read for a while, thank you kindly for re-telling it so well.

At least you have the good humor to laugh about it !!

This reminds me of my recent client in the Cold Storage business that built an 80K Sq. Ft. Cold Storage Warehouse, Built a 60K Sq. Ft. Freezer inside...then realized that he needed a Fire Sprinkler System !!! But that's another story !!! LOL

Great stories. Like I tell my clients after such messes have been made - "hire an architect!"

I know this is rude to ask but how much did the $9,000.00 generator end up costing.

Wow, thanks for sharing all the incredible details of your nightmarish "Murphy's Law" story... All I kept thinking while reading about all of the incompetence, bad luck and disaster after disaster, was that it's a good thing for you that usually, if you're persistent and you keep throwing enough money at a problem, it will eventually end up OK. Good thing for you that you are obviously a very persistent person with a ton of money!
