Click the image below to see the video of the resin infusion process. The port and Stbd sponsons are infused first, then the tunnel. You'll see the guys pouring in the resin throughout the infusion process. It may seem like a lot of resin is used but on the contrary, resin infusion uses less resin than open mold layup. This enables the ideal laminate-to-resin ratio to be achieved.

Are you sure about this? AT used the Maelstrom molds? And who owns them now?

Actually it was THUNDER boats out of Fort Myers that built it. They are the Mealstrom molds, they are in Sarasota now, and I think the Hann Powerboats owns them.

Ryan you are correct. Blue Thunder was the name, they built 2 or 3 of them along with a 38 inboard boat.
