I think we did about $750 during Sept Poker Run weekend at Cumberland. Filled up 3 times over 3 days. That was in the 35'/575 boat.

Well back when we raced all over the ocean and the race engines of the day ran on AV Gas only, to prepare for a race we would fill up the tanks, all 5 of them. Now that was a total of 520 gallons and we would burn 110 gallons per hour racing.....of course at the end of the race, if you did not need the weight.... or the fuel, you could pump it over the side, but you still had to buy it before.....so 520 times AV Gas prices in the 70's? Maybe $4.00 a gallon? The bill would be around $2,080 or so.

We won't include the truck fuel to take the boat from New England to Lake X, for that final test and then out to Newport Beach, California and back. And that was just for a 200 mile race, not the Bahamas 500 race. Those were the days.

Normally a tank a weekend but weeks like the Loto shootout I can burn 3 tanks in a long weekend. No idea on expense as fuel prices change year to year.

1,200. For two days of running hard. That's when premium gas was over $5 a gallon.

Yea but you also brought home a new well slightly broken in mini-bike. I also think I blew an o-ring laughing so much
