Rob, I was out there in that mess too. Same thing, left Clinton River towards Metro runnin 65-70 then turned towards Gull Island in the 5-6 footers. Got wet and didn't run over 25 mph across the lake, made the circle around south to north back up thru middle, channels were definitely calmer. First time I seen gull island on a Sunday with no one on it. Guess I have to face the fact the season is coming to a close. Hell, if I didn't spend so much on the boat this summer I would go look at snowmobiles!

Scott,
I figured he let out of it at that speed because he was in the drivers seat ,throttling with his left hand and he had no way of trimming the boat except for telling me.

Yes ,I agree going 100 is addictive ! 80 in my boat just isn't going to be the same !!
I would love the chance to go 150 ! maybe someday!

Too Old and 26Scarab said it best...100 MPH is extremely addictive, had the pleasure to hit about 110 in a friend of mines Spectre Cat recently...nothing else seems as fun now...my nips don't even get hard until at least 90 now!!

Once you've past 100, nothing else is ever quite as exhilarating!

I've had way too many 100+ rides on a regular basis. My cat, was always run full out, My friend with the 40 hustler always gives you a thrill, and you'll see 110 on his gps, Jason's Viscious cat is never shy on speed. I had a 130 ride on a 36 skater, a 122 ride on a 28 advantage sport cat with twin 750hp motors in havasu, A 100+ ride in a 40 advantage with 1000's in havasu. I've been 100+ on a few different ocean express cat's. The scariest was a 2 seater 20' tunnel hull, talk about too small to go that fast!! My 32 advantage just seems like a daycruiser to me now at 80. I need a 36 skater, and let's not forget deeper pockets!

What the hell do the guys that race at 100+ every weekend for years and years, do for a thrill?
