Interesting development. Never gave this company much thought, but I loved the story of the father and son team running at 165mph. I do like the concept of direct factory sales, but it probably limits product saturation in this market. No hull failures ever is a credit to the line.

When was the last Black Thunder built?

Hey

Scott I keep an eye out once in awhile but just not the same here

boatme 01-09-2017 09:22 AM

I loved my BT but the company and its operations were interesting at best I liked Don J he seemed to be a pretty straight guy but Bob well that is another story. It is a shame they never continued but it was inevitable trying to continue based on only two size boats (43 and 46--basically same boat but for swim area and a smidgen to the nose. The running surface was the same )

I sold for them on the side for a few years with a buddy of mine

I could write a book on what all went down there

Best thing to ever come out of BT was Terry Sobo He is a first class act that has done himself proud at NorTech

Didn't they make a smaller than 43' flat deck at one time? I may be confusing it with a different boat.

they started with a 32 but that was retired long long ago

They made some 32's in the mid-early 90's.
