That would give a whole new meaning to "tower of power." They also introduced a 3.0L I4 NA 150hp outboard. Merc doesn't seem scared of tooling new blocks and heads though, so there's no telling what they'll do when they want a bigger outboard. |

I think its to soon for the 450 or 500 , they need to sell a **** load of 400's first so that when they come out with the larger HP people with the 400's will want to step up , so now they win both ways , repower and new builds

Not gonna happen for 2018. The test boat hasn't even been built yet. I've been told that we're 18-24 months out, but there's guys on this site that are far more knowledgeable than I about this subject.
