I perform out of state inspections - might not be the cheapest but cheap work always costs tons more dollars down the road. I can fly in as I have free flights but will need airport pick up to and from or a paid rent a car, also if inspection runs into day 2 or no flight in time back home then I would need a paid hotel - or a clean non smoking place to stay overnite. .
Also I might ask for some available tools but 4 sure will bring my own stuff including scan tools, comp tester, spark plug viewer and so on. . My min charge is $750 - that includes scan / running the engine on water hose and comp test along with a lot of eyeball inspections plus fuel samples,. This does not include pulling the drive nor checking alignment and bellows from the internal side plus gimbal bearing / u joints and so forth. Pulling drive(s) and inspection is extra and so is lake testing with scan tool reading all loaded rpms thru out. Also extra $ if I have to winterize back again or even summerize to get it running properly for the inspection.
Hopefully basically covered more than the jist of it. Actually professional inspections are very involved and time consuming to say the least
Also I do not care if the buyer or a rep of his is there while during the inspection. I welcome it cause a lot easier to show first hand the good the bad and the ugly. Every used boat is going to have a version of this - it just depends how bad or good those 3 are.-- the good the bad and the ugly reference..

I live in Tiffin if you want me to take a quick look at it and give you a general opinion of the condition. I don't have the ability to do a full inspection or claim to be any sort of surveyor or boat guru.
