Probably around 10:30 - 11:30 AM (assuming it's warm enough...)
Dianne will probably ride down in the cabin if it's 55 degrees. Come to think of it - I'LL probably ride down in the cabin if it's that cold! |

Yo Checkmate/ Mark what's up did you winterize your boat yet ? Anyone going to go out this weekend at all ? :D
|
R Addiction
No! I did not make it to Jellyfish Joels or Red Eyes. Not sure where they are. Need the tour from some local boaters next year! The cabins at Susquehanna state park were $47.00 per night and sleep four (bunk beds, one double bed and ceiling fan) Park boat right in front of cabin. $7 to use the ramp for the week. (did not use ramp water to low) I used ramp in Havre De Grace. I'm planning a trip for next year, last week in July first week of August. We're going to staying at Elk Neck State park (better ramp). Cabins are the same. Cap071 I'm going to be out one day this weekend weather permitting. Trying a new prop. This is my last weekend to boat. Taken boat back to the dealer next Saturday for some warranty work and winterize. Time to start looking forward to next summer. |
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! You can' t miss this one!! We'll be out, hopefully!!
|
I NEED 1 MORE DAY OF WIDE OPEN THROTTLE!:D
|
Winter Sucks! I need to move south!

Located at 24 degrees north latitude, the island of Key West is situated within the subtropical region of the western hemisphere. Because of its proximity to the Gulf Stream and the Gulf of Mexico, Key West has a mild tropical-maritime climate where the average summer and winter temperature rarely differ more than 10 degrees. Prevailing tradewinds and sea breezes join forces to subdue the summer heat. As for winter, Key West has never reported frost, ice, sleet or snow! :) :) :)

I got back from the Chesapeake Inn 3:05 pm. Eat your hearts out ...a dozen steamers and a crabcake sandwich. No other boats there and ate inside since this time of year the patio is all shade since the sun is lower in the sky:( . Shame it can't be that way in July or August:cool:
Was a little chilly at speed (t-shirt , sweat shirt , and a genuine Formula denim jacket). But nothing a complete idiot like me couldn't handle:D. |

Hey Cap did you make it out Sunday?
I got out around 12:30 and made a short run south to the navy yard than north to Trenton. A little cold! Boat back in driveway in time for Eagles game. Got to try a 23 pitch mirage plus / blueprinted prop . I still have to many rpm, 4900rpm at WOT. Motor rated for 4400-4800. Speed 68-70 (no gps). or 55mph @ 4000rpm. I'm going to call Darin @ Houston Propeller I thing I need to move up to a bigger prop, say 25, or maybe I bigger boat. |
YO CAP...
you end up going out yesterday?? I called you back around 12:30...but no answer. So i went back to bed :p I was HURTIN for CERTAIN!! i will be out for my last run this Saturday..weather permiting. P.S. They traded Eric. Had to take my poster down. ;) |
went out around 11:30-12:00. Got to Turkey point and couldn't feel my hands.....drove with my knee for a while;) Lucky the bay was smooth. Ended up in North East at the Nauti Goose. Me and the Captain and Cokes got well aquainted:p Now the long wait till next season:( .
|
Was out Sunday 12 noon till about 6 Pm Ran up to Trenton and headed back south, But the 2 women started to say they were way too cold. So we headed back up to Three season about half-time watched the eagles game and headed home. weather wasn't that cold for me( my old mailman blood started to flow). Just kept thinking this sucks on the way back. A long winter ahead.
4 adults 1/2 tank gas was spinning aprox. 5,000 rpm non gps 66-67 mph stock 4-blade bravo 1 24-P Hey quick question? I was told I should pull my drive off for winter. Has anyone ever pulled the drive off? how hard is this? I seen the 6 bolts. Is that it just, 6 bolts? NO HIDDEN TRICKS? PS I still have my Daisy Duke poster hanging right next to Heather thomas( from the fallguy!):D |
You don't 'have' to pull the drive if you don't want to. People ususally do it for maintence..(to inspect bellows in the housing, grease drive u-joints, change oil etc.). They also take it off because they get stolen alot.
If you leave it on the boat....you should put a lock on it, and also leave it in the trimmed down postion. If it is trimmed up, the bellows are exposed, and prone to dry rot more than if it's tilted down. If you want to take it off, there are the 6 bolts of the housing, and the 1 bolt that goes through the back where the hydraulic trim arms hook up. when you pull it, you need to make sure the cable comes unhooked on the way off. The cable is on the right side between the first and the second bolts. There is also the drive resivior valve in that area....it's about an inch long....so when pulling the drive back far enough to unhook the cable....make sure you pull it further than the 1" so the check valve doesn't stay open....makes a mess!! OR...i can give you a hand if you supply alcohol. :p I also have the winterizing kit for the motor if you need it. |
