I have seen and did them both ways....really it comes down to a matter of asthetics. Although, I have never ever did any testing on identical boats with the stagger opposite of each other. So I couldn't give you any info if there is any actual performance gain of one over the other.

At first glance you almost think that somebody anodized the exhaust blue until you see the reflection from the engine compartment lighting. It looks like a nice piece though.
