BBLADES To Debut Two New Props In Miami
#11
Johnny, please expand on the 22' Classic you tested.
Was it a Bravo boat? what year hull? Did it have the standard length drive with deep prop shaft?
My 96 has the prop shaft set at approximately 7" below the round of the bottom.
I run a Merc Rev 4 with pretty good success.
With a 3 blade Mirage or Turbo 1, my boat does porpoise at midrange and low speeds.

The Velocity had one of our 800EFIs in it. Could get the boat up on the pad with hardly any trim, basically level. It liked it. Midrange was the same.
The Donzi is a 009 edition, standard lower, 565 merc. Runs mid 80s with a BBlades 28 Bravo One, but requires tab to stop the bounce in the midrange. The 4-Speed leveled it right out. No major top end change but the boat has a ton of natural bowlift already.

Thanks for the info John.
The newer 22 has slightly different stringer/strake spacing and I believe the 009 has the drive set a little higher; probably still similar enough.
Love to test the new prop before spending $$ to lab one of my existing props...
