I get that part. So are we debating the term center of gravity and it should be center of balance LOL. I only know it as CG in the boating world but doesn't mean it right.

Center of Gravity (ie: center of mass) is typically the balance point, but not always depending on shape. How can you balance a ring of any size horizontally? LOL.

Here's a good read, that's easy to read, I found:

I have been in 311 Formula with TRS, and also Bravo, they ride totally different same speeds and options, so there has to be a difference in COG there, seems the Bravo boats porpoise more, same as Cig Café TRS/bravo..

No it's not. It's center of balance . Ever done airline operations ? It's 'weight and balance' .

Like a 62 ton Abrams tank in a C5A ?

Well I gess that explains why my boat lost 10mph after I added a 19in flat screen TV in the cabin......

I've been in all of those, someone you were with couldn't run a boat too well. the only cafes that porpoise uncontrollably were the few that got a notched transom, that was more to do with drive height than style of drive

I'm pretty sure the trs is longer, not sure if the x-dimension was altered to compensate.
