I'll suggest something a little less known boat in the eastern US. Not the same company as the Mirage of the 1970's. In the 1980's a new Mirage was formed near Seattle. They are still building boats. The 1980's my parents had one. Very people here in the West and even in the mid west.

The last one is true in that it was the 1980's Formula 27 mold used for the Intruder. They also had a smaller single 25 version.

I liked them because, they are decent quality wise. The 27 is like the Formula's. Same hull. Its a good day family boat with some performance. There is lots for sale. Its a lot of boat for the $12k to up to low $20k US dollar range, money wise.
