I'm high-jacking here.....sorry but I'm starting to "itch" for another go-fast again too.

What about this 38. I love the paint but have never been on a Powerplay. Why hasn't this boat sold?

Powerplays are HUGE boats for 38. I could classify them as a "38' Black Thunder". It would tower over your former 382 Formula. Accordingly, I feel like they can really benefit from a "really built" XR drive or upgraded derivative (SCX/BMAX/etc.) to be solidly reliable long term.

I too will back that up. They are HUGE but also not the fastest either. Amazing in rough water. I went out with Steve on the black one on the Chicago Poker run like 10 + yrs ago and only 2 other boats besides us went out. A/c and all lol

That was my buddy's boat new and I posted it on OSO as he was going to trade it, Steve showed up the next day with the F650 and a myco and took her home!

The price is high and it has old Cobra power.........these are outstanding boats but the black one sold when it was 5 years old with 525s and brand new XR's for about 150K. Fastboats gave a trade number on the black boat of 125K and it was being traded at a Marine Max for a diesel cruiser which meant the owner would net about 133 including the sales tax. OSO Steve bought it the next day before the owner could trade it. Boat had 400+ hours on it and about 10,000 nautical miles on the GPS.

Black boat ran 84 as a best top speed with 525/XR's and yes it would eat drives occasionally but honestly the headers were far worse of a problem. The new XR's were replaced as the old ones got stolen from a repair shop.
