Ain't that the truth. But you know it will be easier sneaking the dvd's out of the newsstand than the bulky vhs's.

Gee, I've had one for three years already and looking to replace it with a newer model.
Cost me 200+ back then and a similar model today goes for 80.
Been working on buying DVD's to replace my VHS tapes. Have over 100 VHS tapes and about 100 DVD's now.

Has anyone found a DVD that doesn't play right or not play at all?
I have.
Sent several of them back to various distributors for replacement.

The unit is a Sony and is good. He is just doing it as a service to people, not to make money. It is a great deal and they are good players.

If you have a older player it could be that it will not read some of the new DVD's. The newer DVD's have multi layer stuff on them and the Lasers can not pick up the info.

I have the same Sony as the one Jeff is selling. I think I even paid 10 bucks more at the local retailer.

It works great on all DVDs. You can't go wrong with a Sony.

Remember, your kids play station will also play DVDs. Not sure about the new ones like Jeffs, but it's worth a try.

I just realized, most of you guys on this board are probably not old enough to remember VHS vs Beta.
OMG, I feel really old.
