SSM Gimbal for 3A/ 5
The grease fitting on top of the gimbal.... Is it used to re grease the gimbal bearing? I have a 3A plug into a Borg Warner transmission with tailstock.
Also, any other grease locations for these drives?
Thank you for your input.

the grease fitting lubes the upper swivel pin bearings and seal, SSM do not have gimbal bearings, the input shaft goes into the tail stock, either plug in or drive line, drive lines tail stocks have gear oil in them, bravos have gimbal bearings to support the input shaft

That's what I thought. I read something different on another site and wasn't sure if they were explaining what they had correctly.
In my case though, is there any need to put grease into that fitting? The boat external steering.
