Default Florida Powerboat Club Getting Biggest Air Yet

With high seas and strong winds forecasted for Thursday, FPC members will take to the air rather than the water for their trip to Cuba, http://www.offshoreonly.com/articles...iggest-air-yet.

I guess there lucky there not called the Offshore club But in all seriousness why not plan this trip a month later in the summertime when the wind and water lay down here in the south , they take jet ski's to the Bahamas in the summertime here the ocean is like a lake

That sucks. We've had to cancel runs in the past because the Pacific ocean kicked up to 8+ footers and winds 25+ mph. That boating is ZERO fun. A nice wind chop and bit of swell is fun. Huge water and wind? No thanks. Kinda gotta roll the dice when you plan this stuff this far out. Sounds like Stu is taking care of his peeps and earning his money to make it all good

I went on a bunch of FPC runs long ago and most of the fun is not on the boat! Have fun in Cuba.

That's a bummer, we were in the keys last weekend and the water and weather were perfect!

After seeing some of the damage on the NJ powerboat club's trip to Bimini (45 miles across).......definitely not worth it to run 90 miles across with worse conditions. Imagine one boat breaking and then having to drag it along or try to assist in 3-5's and the gulfstream running 5-6 mph north
