Default 24 cat vs 26+v hull. Opinions please.

trying to purchased a new boat this week and I have it narrowed down pretty good. I want to stay single screw. One option is a sr24 htm cat open bow or a 26+ v hull(I have a couple options). I wanted to go bigger than the 24x7 hull I owned but I really like the htm . Will the htm cat disappoint? I know they might not be as good in rough water but I never owned a cat. I always boat on a lake if it matters.

I have seen a couple HTM's and they looked nice but it was from the dock. Had a 26 Force Cat in the shop and i really liked that boat a lot if you are shopping in that west coast type boat. Nice build quality and i also liked the day cruiser cabin and the cockpit was pretty roomy.

the 26 v will feel like you wished you kept the python. cat might be just the thing for flying across the top of a lake...

If you are on an inland lake, you will like the HTM. If you put power to them then are fast. I have a friend in Mi. with one that has just over 900 hp and he runs in the low 120s.
