what ever happened to the LSM550 engine?

I am quite confused now. There Chevrolet LS3 376/480 480hp V8 Crate Engine - 19301358 Partsworld Performance claim almost same torque like at 8.2 ho and with just a litle diferent gear ratio come out more rpm and more torque like at bbc. And they claim 495 hp with exhaust from picture. With classic Marinepower or Codiac exhausts should be at least 15 hp more and with long tube headers should be like prop power 525 hp at blue bbc.
Where is true there?
I am wery interested to hear oppinion from experienced members, we will buy such engine for boat with 4400 # with out of fuell and passangers. All claimed numbers show me that this is excelend and cheap engine for our aplications. What I am miss?
Will be as fast like with 8.2 HO, which bring almost 400# higher weight?

i was the first one to have a cat with two ls motors they make good torque with some cubes mine were 450 cubic in made 700 hp 635 torque at 6500 rpm on pump gas aluminum blocks 300 lbs lighter than big block a nd much better fuel milage
