The silver has been laid down and we plan to do the Mercury Racing etchings on the valve covers in red before they get cleared.
Interested to know who does the etching and how that turns out as my 525EFI VCs are peeling a bit and I'd like to do the same. |
Seems like a brilliant move to me. Love the idea of warranty, reliability, ease of maintenance, etc.

The painters at Brand X finished up the silver parts and the red etchings today. The motors are back together and will go back in the boat now. We will also be painting the bilge bottom black to minimize potential staining AND give some great contrast to the other colors in the bilge and on the motors.

Race boat bilges are yellow for a reason. Painting it black it won't be a race boat anymore! And you probably better off both ways. Great job your doing !!

The only black will be the bottom. The rest will still be the cool yellow it's always been
|
always been a fan of light colors in the bilge makes it a lot easier to figure out what the heck is leaking :)

The bilge paint is done and the bilge going back together. The very bottom was done in black but the rest is the same as the previous yellow. The silver parts are back on the motors and ready to get installed again.
