Prayers for Bill Gibson aka BGIII

Have known Bill for years. Sorry to hear of this. I never met his wife. Great guy. I hope his wife comes out OK.
Lake Michigan can throw up a BIG wave with NO warning.
I was out with the guys in 3 to 5's and stuffed through a 7 at 75 MPH - had a foot of water come up the bow and over the windshield. No one got hurt but everyone got real wet.
What helped was the SCARAB weighed over 10,000 LBS.
Thoughts and prayers with you both.

First and foremost, prayers to Bill and Renae, truly two of the greatest people in West Michigan Offshore, and in powerboating as a whole.
Second, there's quite a bit of misinformation going around. There wasn't a 'collision' like one of the Grand Rapids news agencies reported, there wasn't a 'wreck' (the boat is fine), and the boat didn't stuff. Although details are unclear, the boat hit a wave wrong and caused those in the boat to be thrown across the cockpit. Bill didn't break his arm, but badly dislocated his elbow. Renae is in critical but stable condition. I'm not speaking on behalf of them, but want to make sure the information is accurate.
The best thing we can do is to pray for both of them, and that Renae makes a quick and full recovery.

A performance boater's nightmare. I hope the wife makes a full recovery.
edit: Bill too but it sounds like his injury was relatively minor.

I just exchanged with Bill on Facebook.
1) He thanks everyone for their continued support.
2) "Lanyard and padded lifejackets or the thread might be about 2 dead people" were his words.
3) Renae is on the path to recovery. The OSO community continues their thoughts and prayers on her behalf.
