Thanks for the compliments, I really appreciate it. We have pretty much had it on the lift most of the summer (the mouth of the cove just upstream from the Backwater Jacks Cove), so we have been able to put some hours on it. I am getting more comfortable in it, and with that I may push it a bit more. I did Tres Martin, but nothing replaces seat time. I was never intending to be the fastest 28 Skater, just the most comfortable that will cruise "forever" at a decent speed. It is especially nice earlier in the morning and then again in the evening when the water lays down.

YAllot of airplane, boat, and car accidents are due to it getting ahead of the driver/pilot. Once behind the curve, it can be tough to get it back. At some point it is the point of no return. Having a pilots license brings allot of focus into mitigating risk.
Since I wanted to cruise at 80 or 90, I figured it would make sense to get a 115 mph boat so that it would not work it too hard.
