Most people used a -1" inner transom assembly(to keep the CG low in the boat)
The only way it works(long imco style input shaft/and HD coupler) is if the box is mounted in the neutral position and you used a "0" inner transom assembly.
got lots of experience with these boxes.
I also have the last Two Stelling's carrier assembles in existence. Brand New on the shelf.
Ask Phill_p99 the "merc unit" is NOT a direct replacement.

So you're the one!! I bought a brand new one off the shelf roughly a year ago if memory serves from Kathleen Stellings. Talking about having to do some investigating/research..... Anyway, after replacing the one and seeing the carnage, I called her back to buy the other two for spares and they were gone!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed the realignment is spot
on and I won't need another one.....knock on wood.
