Will be running in my fathers 42 Fountain "triple threat" look forward to seeing all the hardware and meeting new folks. Last year Kilo ruined me forever with lift from dog days to the toad, thanks again! Ha

I'll be there. Not sure of plans but always figure something out. Have an old Apache for getting around.

thirdchildhood 08-20-2017 08:52 AM

Won't the shorter run kind of ruin it? You'll need a drag boat.

it at all, just a new game is all.

American Ethanol already hit 200 on a course this size. Should still be just as much fun as always.

I'm all for improving the safety but now more than ever it's an acceleration contest rather than a top speed contest. I hope everyone has fun and stays safe.

No.....and No you won't.

90% of the boats running can still get to their top speed or very close to it.

I'm surprised more places aren't playing the fight? Is there some legal reason about charging a cover for the PPV? You'd think they would all have it on

Bars are subject to much higher pay per view fees...the rights are sold to the bar based on the fire code limit for the business. Depending on the fight, a price is set per head. The bar needs to ensure they can re-coup there expenses.

Its not unusual for a bar to spend 7k-15k to purchase a fight. It's no wonder why bars are gun shy to buy fights.

How's the boat getting there?

check259 08-24-2017 05:21 AM

Hey guys its my first time coming to the shootout.
Just a few questions.
First, in order to watch the race is it necessary to be in the front row of boats tied up?
Second, If your in the big row of boats tied up is it possible to get out early? or are you there until everyone else leaves?
Just wondering. I really want to see the boats but also may want to leave before its all the way over like some others have stated.
Thanks in advance for any replies, I'm hopefully leaving in a couple hours and I can't wait!

Nate5.0 08-24-2017 06:37 AM

1. yes...we often don't get front line and we can see fine.

we often don't try to get first line cause we leave just a bit early to be the mass rush out.
