Default 42 Tiger even faster with 5 blades

I own the boat they tested in Powerboat magazine and yes, 86.9mph was a true reading. Last week Phil Lip-Ship got me the first set of 29 - 5 blade Herring propellers. We gained 3mph on the top end and now at 4000 rpm's we cruise at 70. They are quite pricey but highly recommended if you own one of these boats, and you can only get them from Phil. Nice Job!

Hey Twinsteptiger,
You wouldn't have happened to have been in Florida about two weeks ago?
There was a 42 Tiger/575's in the news that launched its driver in some of the ocean nasty.
No fatalities, just some broken ribs i heard.

TwinStepTiger, do you have 500 EFI's or 575SCi's? If you have the 575's how do you like them. I am attempting to negotiate a deal with several Cigarette dealers on the purchase of a new 38 Top Gun with the 575's. How do they idle? How is the boat to dock? Thanks for your help. Your boat is beautiful.

Hey Twinsteptiger....I also have a set of 5 blade herrings on a 42 Tiger that belongs to a client of mine and as you said it picked up around 5 mph in the mid range and 3-4 mph on top....The boat is the blue photo boat from the ads just before yours took its place...You can't go wrong with a set of these props....Sean

Hey Twinsteptiger I own a 38 TS 575Scis Spoke with Phil and doesnt seem he is real sure of what 30 Herrings will do in my boat. Sure wish I knew the 4k would pick up 3mph. That would get me to 90mph. Any advise? Spine Tickler
