I spoke with Tyler Crockett at one point, about 6 years ago....and ended up not using him because I didn’t feel the project was going to work and fit the budget. this was when I was redoing my old Top Gun, so rather then say something against Tyler Crocket, I simply gave a suggestion. I am sure there are guys that will say something good about Tyler Crockett, I was giving ideas for comparison to some other builders to check out. The Op is from Long Island and NYS. He obviously took my suggestion because he is going to call young performance. Glad I was able to help.

Mike, I have not had any personal experience with Crockett. I have had experience with Eddie Young.. Just trying to help the OP and give Eddie a well deserved plug. Not trying to irritate anyone or stir the pot.

I know there is a 100 mph scarab out of erie pa. that's been running Crockett engines with no issues for at least the last 3 years. That's all i got.
edit- I'd suggest the op start a thread with Crocket in the title and see what feedback you get. Might want to wait till after the keys when everyone is back.

We'd be happy to talk to you as well. Tyler is a personal friend a great guy, Eddie does great work too. No reason to bash anyone. We're certainly less of a hike though...

Always heard good things about Saris. It would be worthwhile talking to them too.

Tyler put an upgrade kit on a 454MAG we had years back (cam, exhaust, larger valves, flashed ECU etc). Really woke up the motor and added some bling to the engine compartment for a reasonable price.

----I have had several engines built by Tyler and have never been disappointed. None have been radical builds but all produced exactly what I wanted,,,Torque!!!.......Bill S
