I had the opportunity to get up at sunrise this morning and cover the behind the scenes of what it takes to push out 700+ meals to people in need. It starts with a whole lot of prep work and then volunteers come in and start packaging the food for delivery. Two assembly lines formed in a kitchen from start to finish . This particular group got it's start with Chef Mike ABG during SuperStorm Sandy when the first responders had no place to go on the island for food being as everything was shut down. It evolved into doing this every Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter providing meals to those that have a hard time getting them... Happy Thanksgiving to all...
