AZ,
good observation, I think that they don't want too much setback so they put what looks like a 2" setback plate. Perhaps someone else can comment on the thickness of the setback they're using?

The Abu Dhabi Team (boat #4 & #5) is looking strong as well!
We're cheering for Boat #5 because it's an MTI cat
we're also cheering for Shaun Torrente who is in boat #4

The first race of the 2018 XCAT World Championships is in the books with round two taking place tomorrow in Fujairah as well.

I feel so bad for Maritomo as they have just completed rebuilding their boat from a previous (owners) crash
Just very glad to see everyone is ok and walk away from it. Will race again next year I hope.
Otherwise on to the second day of racing!

Maritomo crashed in the season opener 2018. Hopefully they are able to rebuild their cat for the July XCat race. Venue will be in Lake Maggiore, Italy
