Where in N.C. is Lake Norman?

Lake Norman is just a short drive north west of Charlotte.

Yes we've been there several times. Love downtown Paducah, great food and cool atmosphere. Totally jacked a set of props on the Formula a few years ago on a rock pile at one of the major hang outs while everyone looked on but said nothing. Oh well, at least I won't forget where it's at.
Paris is cool as well but there's a game warden there that hates dry pipes. His name is Clay Riley. We're actually friends now but that was about six tickets ago and I don't take the Formula there anymore. We'll be up that way with the Hustler this year however. If you guys ever get to Pickwick be sure and give us a shout.

Oh man, that sucks!! Sounds like you might have been at the Sands. Which has an old foundation and concrete steps from when they flooded the land, but Its usually marked. Those wardens in TN love seeing a KY boat heading back north under the bridge, dead give away that you been to Fat Daddy's or Eagle's Nest! Hopefully will see you out this summer, we met a group from Pickwick back in the summer that had came up by boat. Wish I remembered their names, they were a blast!

My grand parents had a place on PW, grew up water skiing there. I remember back in the day when the started on the Tombigbee Waterway, it was a major undertaking.

Keowee has no limitations, I boat there a good bit, and run fast and loud all the time. The northern end of the lake is beautiful being in the foothills of the mountains. If you enjoy Keowee then you need to visit Jocassee the next lake north of Keowee. It's Keowee on steroids. Very limited development and the clearest cleanest water in the southeast.

one of the family houses is in keowee key. It is really nice there just never taken the boat down. May have to try this year

Know Keowee Key development well. Worked on a lot of homes in the development in the late 80's and early 90's. I like Keowee and would love to own a home there. I find myself looking at homes online there alot. Do yourself a favor next time you're down and pay Jocassee a visit. You can rent boats just before the Devils Fork state park entrance. Go out and spend the day chasing waterfall's in the backs of the coves. It's 7500 acres of water surrounded by state owned undeveloped land.Just a few private homes on one branch of the lake and they are amazing. It's 350' deep and on a good day 30' visibility in the water.

They screwed up Lake Washington when they floated two bridges across it. But you can still take a slow trip up the lake and cover a dozen of the richest people in the world.

I'm usually docked at Kuttawa (on Barkley). But I run both lakes on the north end, typically.

We're considering going there for poker run this year, but it depends on the schedule.
