There certainly doing something right . I think 9 out of 10 yacht tenders are intrepids . The model I was on ( and the only intrepid I’ve ever been on) was the 35. Great set up but the ride was awful I thought . That being said they have quite the lineup and I’m sure not all models ride the same .

That thing has more options than a Cadillac. What will it run with triple 400's?

I'm guessing 60-63 at best. They are heavy, but that's what makes them such beasts.

Our 40 Cuddy, which is the same bottom, but has a full cabin and full enclosure, will run 60-62 pretty much all the time with triple 350 Yamaha's. I'm pretty sure that 407 will run 65+ without the full enclosure acting like a sail, and the weight of a full cabin. Intrepid went with a 11' 1" beam on this particular model which mad them faster and a lot better ride in the rough than the normal 12'+ beam you see on a lot of these big CC.

The 40 Cuddy and the 37 Midnight Full cabin are the only two boats out there with a full enclosure and a real enclosed separate shower with a glass door (not a toilet/shower washdown area) that will run 60+

I would love to hear about your enclosure on the 400, I have a 407 on order and can't decide what I want to do with the enclosure. I like the looks of the forward windshield but am having a hard time tying it in with the canvas. Also did you go with roll up or rigid Isen up front?

Don’t go with the foreword windshield, go with the rigid glass all the way to the deck and also have them eliminate the windshield on the console so you are not looking through two pieces of glass. It also gives the boat a lot more streamlined look. We have about 5-6 intrepids between our group of friends and everyone one of them has eventually elimated both the windshield on the deck and the windshield on the helm.

This is our 3rd Intrepid, and we are considering putting an order in on a new 407, so I’m pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the brand. Shoot me a PM with your # if you want to discuss the boats.

If you decide to go with the forward windshield and an enclosure, you will probably has some visibility issues with the seam of the enclosure on the top of the windshield. We mostly offer the forward deck windshield for customers who are not going to install an enclosure, mostly for a wind break for folks in the forward seating area. Also recommend the ridged plastic enclosure design over the soft roll up style. The material is like looking thru glass, no distortion.

I agree with visibility issues, but on top of that, the boat looks a 100 times better without the windshield.
