side by side, I have driven a couple of both and I personally like the side by side better. I know it's not as cool as having a staggered one but I have also outran all the staggered ones I have raced in the rough, even when I had 540 hp and they had 750 zul's

Years ago in a discussion on OSO I asked someone that had spun what speed did it happen at. He replied 45mph. Is that realistic or B.S.?

Very realistic. It's reported that Joe Sgro's spin was 45mph or so as well.

That vid on YOUtube from Russia or somewhere shows them getting thrown out about that speed I think too.
If you are going to slow the bow drops and bites

...AND the transom lifts out of the water reducing the number of places the boat is touching the water (namely in a step bottom boat). This is what leads to the spin.

There is a 39 unlimited on Erie that allegedly spun and sank at pretty low speeds as well

The new owner of the "Seven Person Boat Crash" 38 Fountain spun it this past summer at around 55 mph.

Pretty sure that was a hardware malfunction, not a stepped hull "spin"
