Needed a second bow hatch to get air through to the vee birth.

Couldn’t find a matching white hatch this small so bought/painted a black one.

Slowwwwwwwwww...
Bought the new boat and spent 2 wks getting it ready for the big lake.
Then discovered that I enjoyed working on and riding the old motorcycles I was buying instead of letting them sit under covers like I intended.
Then a couple month stint of no energy after work/weekends and went even farther behind.
I am geeked to have the wife’s boat ready to go whenever spring shows up w/o an endless thrash like normal but the real desire is the project then offload hers 😉

You are correct. Great idea.
stupidest thing I’ve seen in a boat is an anchor locker forward of vee berth, no above deck access.
So you crawl across your bed to get it (while it’s clean/dry) then return it while wet/dirty.
Evidence either of designers who aren’t boaters or designers who never anchor out.

Finally got some time in on the conversion project.
Been working on motors.
Motor #1 now has all new ignition, rebuilt carbs, new impeller and t.stats.
Motor #2 only needs carbs done (this wk) to match #2.
I totally fk’d up paint jobs on them so that will need corrected and I still have to design graphics.
Hopefully I’ll get bracket back off next wk so I can finish glass work, gel it, then reinstall permanently.
Then I can start rigging.
Sun lounge cushion is done and no longer has the hole for scoop.
Came out great.
Hope to start on the pad soon too.
Hope to be ready by Spring 🤞🏁🌴🏴☠️
BTW, 70 days till boating season!
