Best days in a boaters life.

It's always said that the day you buy your new boat and the day you sell that boat are the two best days in a boaters life. I've owned a variety of boats since 1983 and today I'm taking a deposit on my current boat, trailer and a bunch of additional stuff and today is one of those best days. We both retired 10 years ago and move to Traverse City, Mi and have enjoyed using the boat any time or any day on some of the most special waters and shorelines available on this planet. My wife always says " Do you believe we're here?" I'll be turning 74 in a few weeks and it's time to do and see other things. I know many of you are thinking " but boating is the best possible thing to be doing, the most fun and fun people" and you're right until finally one day you say to yourself "it's time for a change". My wife and I have great health and are very outdoor orientated and will increase our travel to see other parts of our world. A snorkel trip to Palau is next followed by time in the Patagonia region of South America. Going to the dark side I'll also crew on a good friends trimaran sailboat and continue sailing my iceboat in winter
Last, I've had a great time doing the how many thousand posts I've written and enjoyed many of the adventures written about here. I'll always carry with me some of the stories containing great generosity, some with incredible sadness and also those with tomfoolery or calling out the bad guys.
Be safe everyone,
Interceptor aka Ed

Sounds like a plan to me.
Enjoy your travels together, glad to read you'll still be sailing and playing in the water.
