NASCAT, they crew at the factory showed me the spring loaded arms on my last visit, we discussed powder coating them to blend into the gel coat. I don’t want the hydraulic lifting table, I don’t like that it sits above the floor when it’s down.

Question: Could you store the filler starboard/cushion in the cabin when you weren’t using it? I’m hoping to be able to bring it along out of the way on long trips.

They mentioned the option to drop the hydraulic table flush with the floor is being designed, but not an option yet.

Yes you can store it in the cabin, lay it on the berth cushions. I had a bag w/ handles made to store mine in so it was easier to carry in/out of the boat.

I can understand storage space but, at least the motors are waiting to be rigged and not vice-versa?

In my experience when you make your 2nd payment engines are ordered, which usually occurs when the boat finishes in lamination and is popped from the mold. Final payment made upon delivery.

A NT 340 build typically takes 4 mos from the time they spray the mold. You can't start the timer the day you sign the sales order w/ the dealer. All that does is lock you into a production slot that the dealer already has or is about to secure for $20k.

I sold my 340 in Feb, John Kray of Sportboats Marine offered me a production slot he already secured w/ a deposit. At the time Miami Boat Show was on, hull 187 was in the mold. My $$ is on hull 206. I checked in today & hull 198 starts next week so I'm still 8-10 weeks from beginning lamination. If I secured a deal w/ Sportboats Marine today for hull# 206 my overall time wait time would be less but actual build time about the same, 4mos.

They are building a new 50,000 sq ft shop to rig boats + adding a second spray booth both of which I hope speed up production.

Man I now that .. I could have sold mine recently for goood money but I would have been without a 39 for a year. That
idea was vetoed.

I plan on putting my deposit down in August this gives me time to sea trial 34 and 39 again. Also, timed around potential MIBS Merc release. Boat should be ready for Summer 19!

Gator- when you place your deposit does not determine your production date as dealers have deposits on build slots way in advance so while you may be ready to pull the trigger it might be worth your time to see what build slots your local dealer has or your timing may not work out. IMO your boat would have to start closer to Nov to benefit from a MIBS release, any sooner and they'll already have engines hung on it. Your dealer can help you work through the specifics they know way more than I.
